Rhodes University Ph.D. The scholarship is now open for applications from suitably qualified students. It is a fully funded scholarship for all students sponsored by Rhodes University.
About the Scholarship
The late Nicholas Iain Paumgarten’s family has generously donated to the establishment of this scholarship for postgraduate accounting study.
Music, fishing, nature, and spending time with family and friends were some of his unique hobbies.

R100 000-00 (2 awards of approx. R50 000.00 each, budget dependent).
Requirements for Rhodes University PhD Scholarship
2. Full-time in attendance.
3. Honors, HDAC or Masters in Accounting.
4. Academic merit.
5. The Committee will also consider the applicant’s active involvement in extracurricular activities such as sports, the arts, and volunteer work while still maintaining a GPA that qualifies them for Honours/HDAC or Masters.
6. Academic CV.
7. Certified copies of academic transcripts.
8. Motivation/Essay not exceeding 300 words explaining why you have chosen your field of study & what you propose to do in South Africa once qualified.
