We wish to announce to members of the public and especially interested candidates with a special ability that the Gardiner scholarship application form for 2022 is out. The Gardiner Scholarship is only open to students in Florida, to enable them to acquire educational skills that will make them valuable in everywhere they find themself.
How does the Gardiner scholarship work?
The Gardiner Scholarship is designated for children with special needs and some of the conditions that determine your child eligibility are outlined below;
- Anaphylaxis
- Autism spectrum disorder
- Being a high-risk child
- Cerebral Palsy
- Down syndrome
- Emotional or a behavioral disability
- Hearing impairment, including deafness
- Hospital or homebound
- Identification as dual sensory impaired
- Intellectual disability
- Language impairment
- Muscular dystrophy
- Orthopedic impairment
- Other health impairment
- Phelan-McDermid syndrome
- Prader-Willi syndrome
- Rare diseases
- Specific learning disability
- Speech impairment
- Spina bifida
- Traumatic brain injury
- Visual impairment, including blindness
- Williams syndrome
Gardiner scholarship requirements
- Non-school aged students must be at least 3 or 4 on or before September 1
- Students entering kindergarten must be at least 5 years old on or before September 1
- Students entering 1st grade must be at least 6 years old on or before September 1
- Students must be a resident of Florida
- The student needs a formal diagnosis from a physician or psychologist with an active license or an Individual Education Plan (IEP)
- The student may be enrolled in a private school or a home education program
