Bangor University Masters Scholarships is now open for applications from suitably qualified students. It is a fully funded scholarship for all students sponsored by Bangor University.
About the Scholarship
Six master’s degrees will be offered at Bangor University in September 2023 thanks to a partnership between the university and the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission.
Commonwealth Master’s Scholarships are intended for those who could not afford to study in the UK and are funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO).
They provide talented and motivated individuals with the opportunity to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for sustainable development.
Benefits of Bangor University Masters Scholarships
1. Endorsed tuition costs.
2. Airfare from your place of origin to the UK and back at the conclusion of your grant, as approved (the CSC will not reimburse the cost of fares for dependants, nor the cost of journeys made before your award is confirmed).
3. Living allowance of £1,236 per month as a stipend.
4. Where appropriate, a warm clothing allowance.
5. Thesis grant to cover costs associated with writing a thesis or dissertation, as appropriate.
6. Grant for study-related travel to pay for domestic or international travel expenses.
Requirements for Bangor University Masters Scholarships
To apply for these scholarships, you must:
1. Being a citizen of, or having received refugee status from, a Commonwealth nation that qualifies, or being a British Protected Person.
2. Occupy a permanent residence in a Commonwealth nation.
3. Be prepared to begin your academic studies in the UK by September 2023, the beginning of the UK academic year.
4. Possess a first degree with at least upper second class (2:1) honors or a second class degree (2:2) and an appropriate postgraduate degree (often a Master’s degree) by September 2023.
5. A second UK Master’s degree is not typically funded by the CSC. You must explain your motivation for pursuing this study if you are applying for a second UK Master’s degree.
6. Be unable to afford to study in the UK without this scholarship.
7. Have provided all supporting documentation in the required format.
8. Candidates must check with the nominating agency for their specific advice and rules for applying, and their own eligibility criteria.
